Clean Adriatic In mid-June this year, there was signed a cooperation agreement on the prevention of pollution of the sea, between representatives of the Croatian Hydrographic Institute and the Institute for Marine and Coastal Research, University of Dubrovnik with representatives of the Institute of Seismology of Montenegro, and the Institute of Marine Biology in Kotor. European IPA project Jaspper agreement offers the ultimate goal to contribute to the reduction of transboundary pollution and conservation of the marine ecosystem in waters of Dubrovnik and Montenegro.

The aim is also to strengthen cross-border cooperation in the joint management of waste water and the prevention of marine pollution. The Institute has been working on a number of international projects. The total value of the project is around 600 thousand Euros. With this project, it will be possible to control the quality of the marine areas in the southern part of the Adriatic Sea and the planned duration of the project is 24 months. Project activities will take place in Dubrovnik-Neretva County and Montenegro coast and Konavle.
